"Stay the Night"

The hit single "Stay the Night" was Ben Orr's first solo video. It's a prime example of mid-80's light/pop with a sophisticated style that told the story Ben sang about in the song. As Ben walks through his lonely house in dimmed blue light, he thinks about the woman he misses and writes and playes this song for her. The story then follows Ben throughout the evening, closing with Ben walking down a foggy street, leaving us to wonder if he was ever reunited with woman he loves. Very atmospheric, it was the perfect video for Ben's solo debut.

The video for "Too Hot To Stop" was simply Ben and his band performing the song with a large group of people on stage in the background. Note that one of the members of the band is Greg Hawkes on the keyboard who's name does not appear in the album's credits. I guess this video could be sort of a preview to Ben's concerts today where he always opens by playing this song.checkered flag
